How do I join Athena and make it available to my patients?

To join Athena, please complete the Merchant Sign-Up form or send us an email with your details at accounts@get-athena.com. Our experienced sales team will contact you to get you onboard. We will provide marketing materials for your practice in the form of flyers or advertising boards. You can add a page to your existing website to inform patients about Athena payment plan solutions, and direct them to apply online at www.get-athena.com.

What costs are involved with Athena?

As a merchant, you will be required to pay a 6% settlement fee on the amount your patients have applied for. There are no subscription fees or monthly fees. The settlement fee is deducted from the bill paid to you.

When will I be paid?

Payments are settled every Tuesday and Thursday. Bills will be shared on either Monday, Wednesday, or Friday for approval. Proof of payment will be provided on the following Tuesday or Thursday. If a settlement day falls on a holiday, payment will be made on the next available settlement day.

What happens if the patient defaults on their Athena payments?

There is no risk to you as the healthcare provider. Athena assumes all debt risk for patient defaults. Patients who default will be placed on our write-off list and any future applications from them will be rejected.

Is my practice added to Athena's directory on the website?

Yes, after you join Athena, we will announce it on all our social media platforms and add your logo and practice details to our website. This helps patients easily find healthcare providers offering Athena as a payment plan option.

What is the minimum contract term?

Merchant agreements are renewed every 12 months. Any changes to the agreement will be highlighted.

How much time and effort is required from my staff and practice?

Athena is a simple buy now, pay later product that patients can learn about online. Your staff will only need to answer basic questions about Athena and how it can help patients manage payments for their medical care.
